#Witcher 3 geralt hair mod mod#
Theoretically speaking, this mod should be compatible with the previous mods we’ve shared for this game. Moreover, the characters will always keep their original outfits no matter what armour you have equipped. Do note that it also requires Valheim VRM, otherwise it won’t work. Alternatively, you can rename the vrm file of the character you want to change your existing character’s appearance. In order to play as one of them, you can create a new character called Geralt, Ciri, Triss or Yennefer to gain their appearance. What this means is that you can now play as Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer or Triss. Main hairstyles it looks ok, but hairstyle 3 looks worse than the normal version of it (long and loose).SiennaMisa has released a pretty cool mod for Valheim that adds to it the main characters from The Witcher 3. It's horribly performance-intensive and whenever Geralt gets close to the camera the FPS drop suddenly (thankfully I got a powerful PC, but still), but overall I gotta say it looks good - especially on the DLC hairstyles. Honestly, this whole "No Hairworks" ordeal has had me trying out a bunch of different mods and fixes (which are all not 100% satisfactory to one degree or another), and in the process I somehow came to appreciate the Hairworks hair. It has no more hairworked hairstrands and I was able to spawn all five hairworks beard stages properly, even stage 3 (which you seem to be calling stage 2, but the beard growth works like this: clean, stubble, short beard, medium beard, long beard). That's why I thought I had found a temporary pseudo-solution for it in the form of the file I linked to above. I would hope not, but we just don't know yet. So that's an issue, and we don't know whether this mod has the beard growth issue that the "Disable Hairworks on Geralt" mod has. They're still hairworked with that mod, which looks weird when Geralt gets wet because only those hairstrands will look wet, the rest of his hair will be dry. You know, those strands that move with the wind. So if you want a solution like you just mentioned in this post: Try what I wrote about in my previous posts.īecause like I've said before: The "Hairworks on everything but Geralt" mod has a big drawback, which is the fact that the hairworks hairstrands remain. I tried that fix and it was not a solution for me, because I immediately switched to the file I mentioned - which so far seems to be the only "solution". But because we can't seem to find a file that removes both hair and beard and works properly, I'll settle for this file I found for now. I actually wanted to try the main files (hair+beard) of these mods as well, because sometimes I prefer the normal beards, sometimes I prefer the HW beard. In case of the beard, I actually prefer HW anyway, and it doesn't seem to have a big impact on FPS like the hair does, so I would recommend settling for this for now.

I realize this is not exactly what you want, since you seem to also not want any Hairworks on Geralt's beard. I guess the only thing I can do is use the mod and report back in a while. I do not know if all five beard growth stages will show up properly, and in the right order. So it could still be the case that the beard doesn't grow properly and the stages don't show up in the right order, or even at all.Īgain, and this is the biggest problem we face thus far with this whole "No Hairworks on Geralt" fiasco: This mod I found rectifies this issue, however please keep in mind I tested with the console commands - I did not wait for the beard to grow.

It would spawn the non-HW stage 3 beard instead, which looks weird when the rest is hairworked.

With the "only hair" file of the "Disable Hairworks on Geralt" mod, I was not able to spawn stage 3 with Hairworks. Stage 1 clean shave -> stage 2 stubble/moustache -> stage 3 short beard (HW) -> stage 4 medium beard (HW) -> stage 5 long beard (HW)

I was able to spawn all five beard stages properly with this file, like this: It has the hairworks beard, but that's what I want anyway. There are no more hairworked strands with this file (the main issue of "HW on everything but Geralt", which is the reason I did what you did and used Disable Hairworks on Geralt instead for a while), so this file looks like the only-hair file of the "Disable Hairworks on Geralt" mod which doesn't have those hairworked strands. It's an updated version of "Hairworks on everything but Geralt" - the "only hair" file.
